Switzerland’s Micro Mobility Systems Ltd from the canton of Zurich celebrated its first successes with the Kickscooter, a vehicle occupying a position somewhere between walking and cycling. Based on this concept, the company developed another vehicle positioned between a motorcycle and a car that is particularly well suited for urban mobility. Inspired by the bubble cars of the 1950s, the company worked with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences(ZHAW) to design the Microlino, a vehicle that is small and manoeuvrable but also weatherproof and spacious enough to take on a shopping trip. A prototype of the Microlino was presented at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and the two-seater electric vehicle was homologated in Europe in 2018. The Microlino is produced by Cecomp, an Italian car manufacturer specialising in small e-vehicles. In Switzerland, Noviv Mobility Ltd is responsible for sales, maintenance and repair.
